The meaning of GRALLOCH is the entrails of an animal (as a deer). The Gralloch is Britain’s premier gravel cycling festival, celebrating endurance, adventure and world-class riding in the heart of Scotland. Field dressing, also known as gralloching[1] (/ ˈɡræləkɪŋ / GRA-lə-king), is the process of removing the internal organs of hunted game, and is a necessary step in obtaining and preserving meat from wild animals such as deer.

The Gralloch has quickly become the crown jewel of the UK gravel scene. Set in the rugged beauty of Galloway Forest Park, it offers a single lap of premium Scottish gravel, world‑class racing and a festival atmosphere that keeps riders coming back. The event is based in the picturesque town of Gatehouse of Fleet and organised by RED:ON Events, the experienced team behind the British Gravel Championships (King’s Cup) and Raiders Gravel. The Gralloch is often considered as one of the most beautiful courses in the series by the participants.
